About us: The Com.Café is here to serve the local community. We are a non-profit
project managed by the registered charity Groundwork on behalf of a
range of partners.
You don’t have to be a member to use the cafes
facilities but membership is very good value at only £5 per year, this
gets you 1 hour of Internet use per day totally FREE! Other benefits
include discount on your poured drinks, print outs, photocopies and
faxes.
Work with excluded and unplaced pupils: Each morning we work with excluded and unplaced pupils in the cafe on
the computers. If you would like to find out more about the service ring
the cafe for details.
Volunteering Opportunities: We are always looking for new volunteers to help run the cafe. Benefits
for the volunteer can include: Work experience, learning new skills,
references, new opportunities, training and satisfaction from helping
others. You will also get to meet lots of great new people and get a
free lunch should you volunteer for over 3 hours a day. Please get in
contact with Sue at the cafe for further information.
Advice Centre: A two hour surgery with Advisors who will be happy to talk with you
about issues such as Welfare Rights, help with form filling, advice on
debts, consumer issues, domestic violence plus much more. Times are 10am
to 12 noon every Wednesday. No appointment needed, just pop in.
