person, Revd Anne Ilsley 01923 840871 or Who are we?The library is a community project run by a committee. When you join the library [annual fee £1], you become entitled to stand for the committee at the Annual General meeting and to vote in those elections. The library is non profit making and is currently supported by St Mary’s Church. We have one Library Worker, who ably runs the sessions. What is Harefield Toy Library like?A library for borrowing toys, without the quiet atmosphere! The session is similar to a toddler group, but our little people can be babies - and toys and equipment are loaned out. We have a cosy baby corner with seating for adults as well as the space of a good sized hall. There is a modest entry fee per family for the session, which includes refreshments. Part of the entry charge is put against the borrowing charge for any toy taken out. All fees are modest and no-one should feel excluded on the basis of cost. Speak to the library worker about this. Session outline9.00 to 9.45 free play Who is the library for?Perhaps you care for children full-time, part-time or are expecting the grandchildren to visit – then this is for you. There will be company for all and toys to test What can I borrow?
Members may hire our Party pack, Parachute, or Nursery equipment by arrangement during the holidays. Visitors are welcome to attend a session. Membership is required before toys may be borrowed. If you can bring 2 forms of ID, including 1 giving proof of address, you can join on the day. There isn’t a residential qualification for joining. VolunteersIf being around mums and children sounds appealing and you would like to help out somewhere, how about helping as a volunteer @ the library? Speak to the library worker about this. If you would like to help on the committee, speak to the Chair person. Chair person, Revd
