I passed with a merit. The course included:

·    A portfolio with news reports, features and reviews on a variety of topics

·    Training in media law

·    Training in subediting and Quark Xpress

       

Education

I have a BA Honours (2:1), English Studies major with Modern Writing minor from the University of Gloucestershire, Cheltenham.

I also have A levels in English Literature, Communication Studies and Philosophy and 10 GCSEs (A*-C)

General interests

I enjoy many activities related to writing and literature and I have written reviews for the Cheltenham Festival of Literature newspaper since 2001. My favourite authors at the moment are Chuck Palahniuk and Joanne Harris.

I also enjoy attending music events ranging from intimate jazz concerts to large scale dance festivals, and I have been invited to write reviews for Glastonbury Festival 2005 to feature on the official website.
