Who are we?

The library is a community project run by a committee. When you join the library [annual fee £1], you become entitled to stand for the committee at the Annual General meeting and to vote in those elections. The library is non profit making and is currently supported by St Mary’s Church. We have one Library Worker, who ably runs the sessions.

What is Harefield Toy Library like?

A library for borrowing toys, without the quiet atmosphere! The session is similar to a toddler group, but our little people can be babies - and toys and equipment are loaned out. We have a cosy baby corner with seating for adults as well as the space of a good sized hall.

There is a modest entry fee per family for the session, which includes refreshments. Part of the entry charge is put against the borrowing charge for any toy taken out. All fees are modest and no-one should feel excluded on the basis of cost. Speak to the library worker about this.

Session outline

9.00 to 9.45 free play
9.45 to 10.15 activities
